HADERSLEV, Denmark (Interstat) — Sonderjyske defeated Midtjylland W 2-1 in a Danish Superliga match on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at Sydbank Park. The result defied a pregame projection that heavily favored the home side.

Substitute Aral Şimşir opened the scoring for Sonderjyske in the 14th minute, but Midtjylland W equalized just two minutes later on a goal from Kristall Máni Ingason. The decisive goal came from Lirim Qamili in the second half. The match was marred by discipline, including a late red card shown to Philip Billing of Midtjylland W. The win gives Sonderjyske a perfect start to their league campaign.
