Oberliga Matchday
DUREN, Germany (Interstat) — SF Duren will host Wegberg-Beeck on Sunday in an Oberliga fixture that pits two teams seeking to close the season on a positive note.
Wegberg-Beeck enters the match after a scoreless draw at home against Bergisch Gladbach on May 31. The result extended a mixed run for the visitors, who have won four, drawn three and lost three of their last 10 league games. Notable victories in that span include a 4-2 win at Frechen on May 25 and a 3-1 triumph over VfL Vichttal on May 3. However, Wegberg-Beeck also suffered a 1-0 loss at FC Hennef 05 on May 10 and a 2-1 defeat at B-W Koenigsdorf on March 22.
SF Duren, meanwhile, is reeling from a 6-1 loss at Fortuna Koeln II on May 31. The defeat was the latest in a difficult stretch: the home side has lost nine of its last 10 matches, with the only non-loss being a 3-3 draw against Teutonia Weiden on March 13. Among the heaviest setbacks were a 7-1 loss at Bergisch Gladbach on May 25 and a 6-0 defeat at SSV Merten on April 26. SF Duren has managed just one win all season, a 4-0 victory over SSV Bornheim on March 15.
The head-to-head record heavily favors Wegberg-Beeck. In their most recent meeting on Dec. 14, 2025, Wegberg-Beeck won 5-1 at home. That result continued a pattern of dominance: Wegberg-Beeck has not lost to SF Duren in their last three encounters.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-2 draw, a result that would likely be welcomed by the visitors given their recent form, but would do little to lift SF Duren’s spirits after a season of struggles. The simulator’s projection reflects a potential bounce-back for SF Duren, who have been outscored 37-8 in their last 10 matches.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time at the Westkampfbahn in Duren. The Oberliga, part of Germany’s fifth tier, will see both teams aim to end the campaign with momentum heading into the summer break.
