ET Hohkeppel vs. GFC Düren Preview
KERPEN, Germany (Interstat) — ET Hohkeppel will host GFC Düren on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in an Oberliga matchup that carries significant momentum for the home side. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time.
Hohkeppel enters the contest riding a two-match winning streak, including a 2-0 victory at Fortuna Köln II on May 25. That result followed a 6-1 thrashing of B-W Königsdorf on May 10, part of a resurgent stretch that has seen Hohkeppel win four of its last five league fixtures. The lone blemish in that span was a 1-0 loss to Köln II on May 3.
Hohkeppel’s recent form has been powered by a potent attack. The team scored six goals against B-W Königsdorf, five in a 5-1 win over Frechen on March 15, and five more in a 5-1 victory against SpVg Porz 1919 on April 12. Defensively, however, the side has shown vulnerability, allowing three goals in a 3-1 loss to SSV Bornheim on May 3 and three in a 3-1 defeat at Wegberg-Beeck on March 29.
GFC Düren arrives in Kerpen looking to build on a 2-0 win over B-W Königsdorf on May 22. That victory snapped a four-match winless run — a stretch that included three consecutive losses — and marked the first clean sheet for Düren since a 4-0 win over Teutonia Weiden on May 3.
Düren’s season has been defined by inconsistency. After a 5-2 win at SpVg Porz 1919 on April 26, the team lost 1-0 at Wegberg-Beeck, drew 2-2 with Bergisch Gladbach, and suffered a 4-0 defeat at Frechen. The defense has been a particular concern: Düren surrendered six goals in a 6-0 loss to VfL Vichttal on March 8 and has been shut out in six of its last 10 matches.
The teams met most recently on Dec. 7, 2025, with Hohkeppel earning a dominant 3-0 victory at Düren. That result extends Hohkeppel’s head-to-head momentum heading into Sunday’s contest.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 3-1 win for Hohkeppel.
Following Sunday’s fixture, GFC Düren hosts Fortuna Köln II on June 7. Hohkeppel travels to face Pesch on the same date.
