ONHAYE, Belgium (Interstat) — Grégoire Guiot’s 53rd-minute goal lifted Onhaye to a 1-0 victory over Stade Vervietois in Belgian Division 2 football on Sunday.

The decisive play at Terrain CS Onhaye saw Guiot finish a sequence involving multiple teammates, securing three points for the hosts. The match was a defensive struggle with few clear chances, and the lone score proved sufficient.

The result avenges Onhaye’s 1-0 loss in the reverse fixture from September. Stade Vervietois, which entered the match near the top of the division table, failed to find an equalizer despite late pressure. The visitors’ frustration showed with six yellow cards issued throughout the physical contest.

Onhaye improved its division record with the win, while Stade Vervietois saw its strong recent form halted.
