TANGERANG, Indonesia (Interstat) — Dewa United FC opened its Liga 1 season with a 2-1 victory over Borneo on Sunday at Arena Indomilk. Forward Alex Martins scored twice in a four-minute span early in the match, netting in the 21st and 25th minutes to give the hosts a commanding lead. Borneo pulled one back in the 33rd minute through substitute Komang Teguh, assisted by Rivaldo Pakpahan, but could not find an equalizer. The result defied the pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had forecast a 1-1 draw. Dewa United begins the campaign with a win, while Borneo starts with a loss. The match featured three yellow cards, issued to Pakpahan, Edo Febriansiah and Taisei Marukawa.
