AP Sports Preview
CAYENNE, French Guiana (Interstat) — Matoury visits d’Or de Mana on Saturday, April 25, in a Régional 1 matchup at Stade de Mana, with the visitors aiming to extend their recent dominance in the series.
Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. local time.
Matoury (8-1-1 in its last 10 league matches) enters the contest riding a three-match winning streak, most recently a 2-0 shutout of ASC Armire on April 11. The club has not allowed a goal in its last three outings, outscoring opponents 6-0 over that span. Matoury’s lone loss in its past 10 games came Jan. 24 against Sinnamary, a 2-1 defeat at home.
The visitors own a decisive advantage in the recent head-to-head series, winning four of the past five meetings. In the most recent encounter March 7, Matoury defeated d’Or de Mana 2-1 on the road. The only d’Or de Mana win in that stretch came Sept. 13, 2025, a 1-0 decision. Matoury also posted a 4-0 victory over d’Or de Mana on Oct. 25, 2025.
D’Or de Mana (2-4-4 in its last 10) enters on a downturn, having lost its last two matches. The most recent was a 4-1 home defeat to Sinnamary on April 11. Prior to that, d’Or de Mana fell 2-1 to Matoury on March 7. The club’s last victory came Feb. 28, a 2-2 draw with Remire that was preceded by a 1-0 loss to Grand Santi on Feb. 7. D’Or de Mana has conceded at least two goals in five of its past seven matches.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Matoury.
Matoury’s schedule remains demanding. Following Saturday, the club faces ASC Karib on May 9, then Sinnamary and Grand Santi in consecutive weeks. D’Or de Mana, meanwhile, plays at Le Geldar on May 9 before hosting CSC Cayenne on May 16.
The visiting side’s defense has been the story of its recent form. Goalkeeper Antoine Morel has recorded three consecutive clean sheets. For d’Or de Mana to reverse its fortunes, the attack, which has managed only one goal in its past two matches, must find its rhythm against a disciplined Matoury back line.
