PARNU, Estonia (Interstat) — Host Tammeka opened its Meistriliiga season with a 2-0 victory over Trans on Saturday, defying pregame projections. Mousta Bah put Tammeka ahead in the eighth minute at Pärnu Rannastaadion, and Giacomo Uggeri doubled the lead in the 32nd minute. The visiting Trans side, which was given a 52.2 percent chance to win by Interstat’s ELO system, was shut out. The result was an upset, as a Interstat game simulator had projected a 2-1 win for Trans. With the win, Tammeka starts its league campaign with a victory while Trans begins with a loss.
