ERPE-MERE, Belgium (Interstat) — Erpe-Mere United earned a 2-0 victory over OHR Huldenberg in a Belgian Division 3 football match Sunday at Steenberg.

Midfielder Matteo Vancutsem opened the scoring in the 47th minute. Forward Mike De Pauw doubled the lead in the 62nd, assisted by Joel Movoto. Movoto later received a yellow card in the 68th minute.

The result defied a pregame statistical projection that favored Erpe-Mere but forecast a draw. The home side improved its Division 3 record to 10 wins, 16 losses and four draws. Huldenberg’s league mark moved to 9-10-10.
