WILRIJK, Belgium (Interstat) — KVC Wilrijk defeated Herleving Red Star Haasdonk 2-1 in a Belgian Division 3 match Saturday at Sportcomplex Ter Beke.

Hakim Borahsasar opened the scoring for the hosts in the 24th minute. Denis Jabot, a substitute, doubled the lead in the 81st. Miguel Cobos Copado assisted on both Wilrijk goals.

The visitors found a late consolation, but the match deteriorated with nine yellow cards. Haasdonk’s Sander De Prycker received a second yellow in the 90th minute, resulting in a red card.

Wilrijk, a strong contender in the division, improved its record to 16 wins, 3 losses and 4 draws. Struggling Haasdonk fell to 3 wins, 17 losses and 7 draws.
