Georgia U19 vs Spain

TBILISI, Georgia (Interstat) — An undefeated Spanish squad, riding a wave of dominant victories, faces a Georgian U19 team seeking its first win of the season in a World Cup-organized youth football match Saturday.

Spain enters the contest with a perfect 2-0 record in the competition and a 4-0 mark across all matches. Their form has been formidable, outscoring opponents 15-0 in their last four outings. The most recent was a 4-0 rout of Bulgaria on Oct. 14. That followed a 2-0 win over this same Georgian senior national team just three days prior.

The Georgian U19 side, however, presents a different challenge. This will be their first match in this specific competition, holding an 0-0 record. Their overall season record is also 0-0, though they fell 2-1 to Montenegro U19 in a friendly on Aug. 5.

Despite Spain’s overwhelming statistical advantage, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw, suggesting the home side could pose a stiffer test than previous Spanish opponents.

Following this match, Spain will quickly turn around to host Turkiye in a UEFA World Cup qualifier on Nov. 18. Georgia U19’s next scheduled match is not until Dec. 1, when they travel to face Azerbaijan U19.

Kickoff is set for Saturday in the Georgian capital.
