ATHÍNA (Interstat) — Substitute Ketu Jih scored the lone goal in the 17th minute to lift Asteras Tripolis to a 1-0 victory over Atromitos in a Super League 1 match Sunday at Stadio Peristeriou.

The decisive play was built from the back, with defender Quini providing the assist on Jih’s early strike. The goal held as Asteras Tripolis opened its season with a win, defying a pregame projection that favored a draw. Atromitos begins its campaign with a loss.
