ELEWIJT, Belgium (Interstat) — K. Crossing VV Elewijt defeated AS Verbroedering Geel 4-2 on Sunday in a Belgian Division 3 match at Driesstraat - Terrein 2.

The home side secured the victory with a strong second-half performance after a tight opening period. Substitute Thijs van Pol opened the scoring for Elewijt in the 17th minute, but Geel’s Alexander Bell equalized just four minutes later. Bell struck again in the 68th minute to pull the visitors level at 2-2.

Elewijt found a late surge, with defender Wout Merckaert netting the decisive goal in the 87th minute. The match saw three yellow cards issued in a frantic final stretch. The result avenged Elewijt’s 1-0 loss to Geel in the season’s first meeting last September.
