DRONGEN, Belgium (Interstat) — KVE Drongen defeated KFC Wambeek Ternat 3-0 on Saturday in a Belgian Division 3 match at Sportpark Keiskant.

Robbert De Smul led the home side with two second-half goals, scoring in the 51st and 65th minutes. Jarne De Bruyne added a third goal in the 72nd minute, assisted by substitute Bruno Baras. Defender Ward Baert also recorded an assist for Drongen.

Baert and Baras each received yellow cards during the match. The result avenges Drongen’s 1-0 loss to Wambeek Ternat in the teams’ previous meeting last November. Interstat’s pregame projection gave Drongen a 71.4% probability to win, forecasting a 2-1 scoreline.

The victory improves Drongen’s Division 3 record to seven wins, 11 losses and 12 draws. Wambeek Ternat’s record in the competition falls to eight wins, 11 losses and eight draws.
