HAMONT-ACHEL, Belgium (Interstat) — Second-half substitutes Yannick Bevers and Maico Gerritsen provided the goals as KFC Sint-Lenaarts defeated K. Achel VV 2-0 in a Belgian Division 3 match Saturday at Sportpark De Siggert.

Gerritsen opened the scoring in the 27th minute. Bevers, who also assisted on the first goal, sealed the victory with a strike in the first minute of second-half stoppage time. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the hosts.

The match was contentious, featuring seven yellow cards. Sint-Lenaarts improved its league record to 10-9-8. Achel VV fell to 11-10-6. The teams played to a draw in their previous meeting last August.
