1. FFC Turbine Potsdam vs 1. FFC Fortuna Dresden
POTSDAM, Germany (Interstat) — Turbine Potsdam hosts Fortuna Dresden on Sunday in a Regionalliga matchup that could provide a crucial lift for the home side after a string of difficult results.
The game, set for May 31, 2026, marks the second meeting of the season between the two teams. Potsdam won the previous encounter Nov. 30, 2025, 2-1 at Dresden.
Potsdam enters the weekend on a two-match losing streak. The team fell 2-0 at home May 17 to BFC Viktoria 1889. That loss followed a 2-1 defeat May 10 against 1. FC Union Berlin II. Potsdam’s record in its past five matches shows three losses, one win and one draw, with a 4-3 victory over Bayern Munich II on May 3 its most recent positive result.
Dresden also lost its last match May 17, 3-2 at Hohen Neuendorf. The defeat extended a winless streak of seven games, with Dresden’s last victory coming Nov. 30, 2025 — that was a home loss to Potsdam, meaning Dresden has not won since. Dresden’s form has been particularly poor in 2026, with losses to RB Leipzig II (5-0 on May 10), Magdeburg (4-2 on April 26), 1. FFV Erfurt (2-0 on April 19), Zeiss Jena II (2-1 on April 12) and Hertha Berlin (5-0 on March 29). The side managed only two draws in that stretch: 1-1 with 1. FC Union Berlin II on May 3 and 1-1 with Turkiyemspor R-B on March 8.
Both clubs have struggled defensively. Potsdam has conceded at least two goals in four of its last five matches. Dresden has conceded multiple goals in six of its last seven.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 3-1 win for Potsdam.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. local time at Potsdam’s home ground.
