AYWAILLE, Belgium (Interstat) — Royal Aywaille FC and RUS Binche played to a 0-0 draw in a Belgian Division 2 match Sunday at Stade de la Porallée.

The match, which failed to produce a goal despite Interstat’s pregame projection of a 1-1 scoreline, was defined by defensive discipline and ill-discipline elsewhere. The game’s pivotal moment came in the 59th minute when Binche’s Giacomo D’Asaro was sent off with a red card, forcing the visitors to play a man down for the final half-hour.

Aywallie, which had a 57.8% win probability according to statistical models, could not capitalize on the advantage. The contest featured six yellow cards, with Binche’s Sinan Arslan booked in the first minute and five others cautioned throughout a physical affair.

The result leaves Binche with a Division 2 record of 12-13-6, while Aywaille moves to 8-15-8.
