BOCHOLT, Belgium (Interstat) — Jeffe Landuyt’s first-half goal was the difference as K. Bocholter VV defeated Young Reds 1-0 in a Belgian Division 2 match Saturday at AXOR Arena.

Landuyt, a midfielder, scored in the 42nd minute to secure the victory. The assist came from substitute Orseer Achihi. The match was a physical affair, with Young Reds’ Jeff Godelaine receiving a yellow card followed by a red card in the 89th minute.

The win improves Bocholter’s Division 2 record to 11 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw, strengthening its position near the top of the table. Young Reds fell to 9-4-2. The result defied a pregame statistical projection that forecast a 1-1 draw, though Bocholter was favored to win.
