ENSCHEDE, Netherlands (Interstat) — Daan Rots scored in the 75th minute to give Twente a 1-0 victory over AZ in an Eredivisie match Sunday at De Grolsch Veste. The late goal secured the win for the home side after a physical contest that featured six yellow cards. The result defied the pregame projection from Interstat, which had forecast a 1-1 draw. Twente begins its league campaign with a win, while AZ starts with a loss.
