Blackpool vs Leyton Orient

AP Sports Preview

LONDON (Interstat) — Blackpool hosts Leyton Orient on Saturday, April 25, in a League One clash at Bloomfield Road, with both teams seeking momentum in the final stretch of the regular season.

The fixture, set for a 3 p.m. local kickoff, pits two sides separated by a single point in the mid-table standings. Blackpool enters the match after a 1-0 victory at Wycombe Wanderers on April 18, its fourth win in the last five league matches. The Seasiders have been stingy defensively, conceding just two goals across those five games, including three clean sheets.

Leyton Orient, meanwhile, arrives off a 2-0 loss at home to Rotherham United on April 18, a result that snapped a brief unbeaten run. The O’s have struggled for consistency, managing two wins in their last 10 league outings, with four draws and four losses in that span. Goalkeeper Josh Keeley will aim to rebound after allowing two goals against Rotherham.

Saturday’s match is the second meeting between the clubs this season. On Nov. 22, 2025, Blackpool and Leyton Orient played to a 1-1 draw in London, a result that reflected their recent history of tight contests.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.

Blackpool will be without midfielder Albie Morgan (hamstring), while forward Jordan Rhodes (knee) is a game-time decision. Leyton Orient lists defender Dan Happe (calf) as doubtful.

Following Saturday, Blackpool travels to Reading on May 2, while Leyton Orient hosts Burton Albion on the same date.
