Lincoln City, Stevenage Draw in Season Opener

STEVENAGE, England (Interstat) — Lincoln City and Stevenage opened their League One seasons with a 2-2 draw Saturday at The Lamex Stadium.

The match defied a pregame projection that heavily favored Lincoln City. Stevenage’s Louis Thompson opened the scoring in the third minute, but Tendayi Darikwa equalized for the visitors in the 17th. Jamie Reid put Stevenage ahead again just before the half-hour mark.

Lincoln City found a dramatic stoppage-time leveler in the 91st minute through Robert Street, who later received a yellow card. The result leaves both teams with identical records across all competitions to start the 2025-26 campaign.
