BUSAN, South Korea (Interstat) — Busan I-Park opened its season with a commanding 4-1 victory over Gimpo Citizen in K League 2 football on Saturday at Busan Gudeok Stadium. Defender Cho Wije led the dominant performance with a goal and an assist. Gimpo’s Jeon Sungjin temporarily leveled the score in the 80th minute, but Busan responded with two late goals from Paul Villero and Leonard Pllana to secure the win. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat that favored a 1-1 draw. Both clubs opened their league campaigns, with their season records now at one game played.
