AUBAGNE, France (March 20, 2026) (Interstat) — FC Sochaux-Montbeliard delivered a commanding 4-1 away victory over Aubagne in a National 1 match Friday at Stade de Lattre de Tassigny, defying pregame projections.

Aymen Boutoutaou opened the scoring for Sochaux in the 20th minute. After Aubagne’s Nohim Chibani equalized in the 69th, Sochaux sealed the win with a late flurry. Substitute Samy Baghdadi netted in the 83rd, followed quickly by Honoré Bayanginisa and Aboubacar Sidibé scoring in the 85th.

The result starkly contrasted with statistical forecasts, which heavily favored Aubagne and predicted a 1-1 draw. Key substitutes Boutoutaou and Baghdadi each scored, while defender Kassim M’Dahoma recorded two assists. Benjamin Gomel also had two assists for Sochaux, which began its league campaign with a win.
