Oregon State Routs Santa Clara in Dominant 6‑0 Victory
CORVALLIS, Ore. (Interstat) — The Oregon State Beavers delivered an offensive onslaught Sunday, routing the Santa Clara Broncos 6-0 in an NCAA men’s soccer match. The Beavers’ attack was overwhelming from the start, easily surpassing a pregame projection of a 1-0 victory.
Key performances fueled the blowout. Midfielder Arnau Farnos and defender Iker Carbonell each scored two goals. Midfielder Diego Rodriguez, a substitute, added a goal and two assists in just 38 minutes of play. Goalkeeper John Nicolson even recorded an assist for Oregon State.
The Broncos were shut out in front of an announced attendance of 707 at the Beavers’ home pitch. The lopsided result improves Oregon State’s record to 6-3-3, while Santa Clara falls to 4-5-4.
