CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (Interstat) — Ask Ekeland scored both goals to power the Boston College Eagles to a 2-1 victory over the Saint Joseph’s Hawks in an NCAA men’s soccer match on Friday. The Eagles secured their first win of the season in front of 228 fans. Ekeland, a midfielder, played the full 90 minutes and provided all the offense needed for Boston College. The result defied a pregame projection that favored Saint Joseph’s. With the win, Boston College improved its record, while Saint Joseph’s fell further below .500 for the season.
