LOWELL, Mass. (Interstat) — The New Hampshire Wildcats defeated the Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks 2-1 in an NCAA men’s soccer game Friday. The Wildcats improved to 3-2-1 in the competition, while the River Hawks fell to 4-2. Defender Oscar Perez scored a goal for Massachusetts-Lowell in the losing effort. The game drew an attendance of 103. New Hampshire’s victory defied pregame projections that heavily favored the River Hawks to win.
