KINGSTON, R.I. (Interstat) — The Rhode Island and VCU men’s soccer teams played to a 0-0 draw in an NCAA match on Saturday. Both teams, nicknamed the Rams, struggled to generate offense in front of 276 fans at Rhode Island’s home venue. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, which gave Rhode Island a 59.5% chance to win and predicted a 2-2 final score. The tie leaves VCU’s record at 2-3-4, while Rhode Island moves to 1-2-3. VCU next hosts Davidson on Nov. 1, while Rhode Island travels to face Saint Louis the same day.
