NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Interstat) — The New Haven Chargers and Le Moyne Dolphins played to a 3-3 draw in an NCAA men’s soccer match Thursday. The result defied projections that heavily favored New Haven.

Lukian Lawro, Joao Pires and Andrew Buchanan each scored a goal for the Chargers. Midfielder Andres Lazo provided two assists for New Haven in the contest at Charger Stadium.

The Dolphins, who were given a 29.4 percent chance to win by statistical models, matched New Haven’s offensive output to earn the tie. Attendance was announced at 384.

New Haven’s record moves to 3-1-2, while Le Moyne is now 2-4-1.
