Spaeri vs Gareji

TBILISI, Georgia (Interstat) — Spaeri hosts Gareji on Saturday in a pivotal Erovnuli Liga 2 match, just two days after the visiting side claimed a narrow victory in the most recent head-to-head contest.

The teams met Thursday, with Gareji defeating Spaeri 2-1. That result marked Gareji’s second consecutive win in the league, following a 2-1 home victory over Merani Tbilisi on Feb. 15. Prior to that, Gareji played to a 0-0 draw at Dinamo Tbilisi II on Nov. 28, 2025, and suffered a 1-0 loss at Telavi on Nov. 1, 2025.

For Spaeri, Thursday’s defeat continued a mixed run of form. Before that loss, Spaeri posted a 1-0 victory at Aragvi Dusheti on Nov. 28, 2025, but fell 2-1 on penalties at Merani Tbilisi on Nov. 1, 2025. Earlier in the season, Spaeri lost twice to Austria Vienna — 5-0 on July 31, 2025, and 2-0 on July 24, 2025 — in non-league friendlies.

Saturday’s match is the second meeting between the teams in three days. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Spaeri, and the outlet’s ELO system gives Spaeri a 54% probability to win.

Spaeri faces a busy schedule after Saturday, with a match at Rustavi also on May 23, followed by home games against Dinamo Tbilisi II and Shturmi on May 24, and a contest against WIT Georgia on May 29.

Gareji also plays a congested slate, with three matches scheduled for May 24: at Kolkheti Khobi, at home against Lokomotivi Tbilisi, and at home against Shturmi.
