Youssouf Dao opened the scoring for Talleres in the 33rd minute, but Nurudeen Ayinde equalized for Belgrano just one minute later. Belgrano then added a second goal later in the match to secure the victory.

The win gave Belgrano a 1-0 record in the competition and across all competitions this season. Talleres fell to 1-1 in Liga Profesional Argentina play and 1-1 overall, following a 0-0 draw at Unión on May 3.
