EIVISSA, Spain (Interstat) — Villarreal II delivered a surprise 2-0 away win over Ibiza in a Segunda División match Sunday at Estadio Can Misses – Power Electronic.

The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side. Villarreal II’s defense held firm against an Ibiza attack that failed to score. The visitors’ two-goal performance secured the victory in Week 31 of the Spanish second division.

Ibiza’s frustration mounted in the second half, resulting in three yellow cards. Villarreal II’s Miguel Ángel Leal Díaz also received a first-half booking. The win improves Villarreal II’s early season form, while Ibiza looks to rebound next Saturday at Albacete.
