REIMS, France (Interstat) — RKVV SDO Bussum earned a 2-1 victory over De Bataven in a UEFA Women’s Nations League match on Thursday, defying pregame projections. Defender Sakina Karchaoui scored the decisive goal for the hosts in stoppage time.

The game at Stade Auguste-Delaune saw a late surge after a scoreless first half. Substitute Stina Blackstenius opened the scoring for Bussum in the 67th minute. De Bataven equalized through Griedge Mbock Bathy in the sixth minute of added time, but Karchaoui answered immediately to secure the win for Bussum.
