Drita vs Antwerp

PRISTINA, Kosovo (Interstat) — Michel-Ange Balikwisha scored in the eighth minute of second-half stoppage time to lift Antwerp to a 2-1 victory over KF Drita on Sunday in a UEFA Europa Conference League group-stage match at Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri.

The win evened Antwerp’s record in the competition at one win and one loss, while Drita dropped to two wins and one loss. Antwerp’s overall season record across all competitions stood at one win and one loss, while Drita’s overall mark fell to 19 wins, nine losses and two draws.

Laurit Krasniqi opened the scoring for the visitors in the 52nd minute, collecting a loose ball inside the area and firing past Drita goalkeeper Ardian Limani. The goal stood as the lone tally until deep into stoppage time, when Drita pressed for an equalizer but left themselves exposed on the counter.

Balikwisha, a 5-foot-10, 152-pound attacker, capitalized in the 90th minute of the nine minutes added, slotting home after a quick transition to seal the result. Both Antwerp goalscorers played the full 90 minutes.

The match featured five yellow cards. Drita’s Besnik Krasniqi was booked in the 36th minute. Antwerp’s Pieter Gerkens received a caution in the 65th minute and teammate Vincent Janssen followed in the 68th. Drita’s Muharrem Jashari was cautioned in the 81st minute and Ardian Limani picked up a yellow in the first minute of stoppage time.

Antwerp entered the fixture after a 1-0 loss at Istanbul Basaksehir on Sept. 14, 2025. Drita, playing its second match in as many days, had most recently posted a 2-0 home win over FC Ballkani on Saturday. Drita’s earlier results this season included victories over Llapi, Ferizaj, Malisheva and SC Gjilani, along with draws against Prishtina, Malisheva, SC Gjilani, Dukagjini Klina and Llapi.

The home side controlled much of the possession in the first half but struggled to create clear chances against Antwerp’s organized defense. Drita’s best opportunity came just before halftime, but a header from a corner was saved by Antwerp goalkeeper. The dismissal of a potential Drita goal in the 78th minute for offside further frustrated the hosts.

Antwerp, playing its first competitive match in nearly eight months, appeared sharper as the game progressed. Krasniqi’s opener came after sustained pressure, with the defender arriving late to meet a cross that was not cleared. Drita pushed forward in the final 10 minutes and forced a couple of saves, but Balikwisha’s late strike extinguished any hopes of a draw.

The victory gave Antwerp three points in Group D, while Drita remained on six points after three group matches. The result kept the Kosovan side in contention for a top-two finish, though the loss at home could prove costly in the standings.

Interstat’s game simulator had projected a final score of Drita 1, Antwerp 1. Interstatl’s ELO system gave Antwerp a 71.80 percent probability to win.
