SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Spain (Interstat) — CD Tenerife and SD Eibar played to a 2-2 draw Thursday in a Week 30 Segunda División match at Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López.

Eibar midfielder José Corpas Serna opened the scoring in the 35th minute, finishing an assist from Jon Bautista Orgilles. Both Eibar players also received yellow cards in the first half, as did Tenerife’s Nikola Šipčić.

The visitors’ early lead was erased as Tenerife rallied with two second-half goals. Eibar found a late equalizer to split the points. The result defied a pregame projection that favored Tenerife with a 52.7% win probability and forecast a 1-1 scoreline.

The draw leaves Eibar with a win and a draw in league play this season, while Tenerife seeks its first victory.
