MONOPOLI, Italy (Interstat) — Emanuele Scipioni’s 66th-minute goal was the difference as Trekvogels W defeated Bekkerveld W 1-0 on Saturday in a Week 8 Ned-Hoofdklasse Women’s fixture. The match was contested at Stadio Vito Simone Veneziani.

The solitary score decided a contest that statistical models had projected to be closer. Trekvogels W improved its league record to three wins and one loss with the result, while Bekkerveld W remained winless at 0-2.

The game was the only fixture for Trekvogels W on the date, as its scheduled league match at Bavel was also listed for Feb. 14. The victory provided a positive result in a neutral-site game held in Italy.
