RB Leipzig vs Turbine Potsdam

LEIPZIG, Germany (Interstat) — RB Leipzig Women will host Turbine Potsdam Women in an international club friendly Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Red Bull Arena. The match is part of the Club Friendlies Women World series, which brings together teams from various leagues for exhibition competition.

Both clubs enter the contest after narrow defeats. Turbine Potsdam most recently fell 3-2 at Bochum on Sept. 21, 2025, in the German Frauen-Bundesliga. RB Leipzig dropped a 3-2 decision at VfL Wolfsburg on May 2, 2026.

Leipzig’s form has been inconsistent. Over its past 10 matches dating to December 2025, the team has two wins, five draws and three losses. Highlights include a 3-1 victory at Hamburger SV on Feb. 8 and a 3-1 home win over Nurnberg on Feb. 14. Leipzig also drew 2-2 with Union Berlin on March 14 and 1-1 with Werder Bremen on April 25. The club’s largest setback was a 3-0 loss at Bayern Munich on Jan. 25.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 win for Turbine Potsdam, while the company’s ELO system gives RB Leipzig a 69.90 percent probability of victory. The contrasting projections underscore the uncertainty surrounding a friendly where both teams may rotate lineups.

Following Saturday’s match, RB Leipzig returns to league play against Bayer Leverkusen at home on Monday, May 11, then travels to Hoffenheim on May 17.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. local time.
