Polokwane City vs Cape Town Spurs

POLOKWANE, South Africa (Interstat) — Polokwane City will host the Cape Town Spurs in a South African First Division fixture Tuesday at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The Week 18 matchup features two clubs at the start of their league campaigns, with both sides holding 0-0 records in the division. Form across all competitions, however, diverges sharply.

Cape Town Spurs enter with momentum, coming off a 2-1 home victory over Black Leopards in their most recent outing on Oct. 10. Polokwane City, meanwhile, is seeking its first win of the season after a 1-1 draw with Hungry Lions on Oct. 12 and a 2-0 loss to Orlando Pirates on Aug. 2. Their overall record stands at 0-1.

Despite the contrasting recent results, statistical projections point toward a competitive contest. The Interstat game simulator predicts a 1-1 draw. However, the same outlet’s ELO rating system gives Polokwane City a 65.10 percent probability of securing a victory on home turf.

Kickoff is set for Tuesday in Polokwane, a city historically known as Pietersburg.
