Late Goals Decide Chaotic Saudi Division 2 Clash
HOWTAT BANI TAMIM, Saudi Arabia (Interstat) — Al Taraji scored twice in second-half stoppage time to secure a 2-1 comeback victory over Al-Sadd in a KSA Division 2 match Saturday at Al Anwar Club Stadium.
The game, part of the league’s Week 21, featured three red cards and 11 yellow cards. Al-Sadd’s Kai Jennings opened the scoring in the 69th minute. The match erupted late as Al Taraji’s Ismeal Kabia equalized in the 91st minute before teammate John Marquis netted the winner a minute later.
Al Taraji improved to 1-0 in the division, while Al-Sadd fell to 0-1. The result defied a pre-match projection from Interstat’s simulator, which had forecast a 1-1 draw, though its ELO system gave Al Taraji a 65.7% win probability.
