Furuhashi’s Late Strike Lifts Celtic Over Rangers in Premiership Clash

GLASGOW, Scotland (Interstat) — Kyogo Furuhashi scored in the 88th minute to give Celtic a dramatic 2-1 victory over Rangers at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday in a Scottish Premiership match.

The visitors took an early lead when Daizen Maeda found the net in the fifth minute. Rangers responded with two quick goals after halftime, from Ryan Kent in the 47th and James Tavernier in the 53rd, to seize momentum. Furuhashi’s late intervention secured all three points for Celtic.

The result came in the league’s 20th week. Celtic defender Carl Starfelt received a yellow card in stoppage time. The win improves Celtic’s league record, while Rangers suffered a rare defeat in domestic competition.
