ZAPOROZH’YE, Ukraine (Interstat) — Two Ukrainian Druha Liga sides will open their league campaigns Tuesday when Metal Zaporiz II hosts FK Nyva Buzova at Slavutych-Arena.

The match is a Week 7 fixture in Ukraine’s third tier, but both teams enter with 0-0 records, having not yet played a match in the 2025-26 competition. Their overall records across all competitions also stand at 0-0.

The teams are emerging from extended breaks. Nyva Buzova last played in a 1-0 victory over Obolon’ Kyiv on July 16, 2024. Metal Zaporiz II has not seen competitive action since a 0-0 draw with Skala 1911 Stryi on May 10, 2024.
