Admira U18 Stuns Rapid Wien in Youth League Upset, Defying Heavy Odds

VIENNA (Interstat) — In a stunning Jugendliga U18 upset Wednesday, Admira U18 routed Rapid Wien U18 5-1 at Trainingsgelände Allianz Stadion, defying projections that heavily favored the hosts.

Interstat’s simulator had predicted a 3-2 Rapid win, and its ELO system gave Rapid an 88.1% probability of victory. Admira dismantled those forecasts, scoring four unanswered goals after Rapid’s Daris Đezić opened the scoring in the 19th minute.

Admira midfielder Fritz Burger led the comeback with two first-half goals, including one in stoppage time. Teammates David Puczka, Christopher Olsa and Marko Leon Crnjak also scored. The result leaves Admira unbeaten in the young Austrian youth league season.
