VELENJE, Slovenia (Interstat) — Al Ittihad FC defeated Salzburg 3-2 on Monday in a Club Friendly at Štadion Ob Jezeru - Igrišče z UT.

Romário Ricardo da Silva scored twice for Al Ittihad, finding the net in the fourth and 33rd minutes. Ahmed Mohammed Sharahili added a goal in the 27th minute. Marcell Tibor Berki put Salzburg ahead in the 22nd minute, and Ignace Van der Brempt pulled one back in the 75th.

Da Silva, a Brazilian attacker from Palestina, played 68 minutes. Van der Brempt, a Belgian defender from Antwerpen, played the full 90. Sharahili played 69 minutes. Haroune Camara also appeared as a substitute for Al Ittihad.

The win improved Al Ittihad’s competition record to 1-0-0 and its overall mark to 11-9-5. Salzburg fell to 0-1-0 in the competition and 15-8-7 across all competitions. Al Ittihad next faces Al Shabab on May 17 in Saudi Pro League play. Salzburg’s next scheduled match is not listed.
