Preview: Real Sociedad Women vs. Levante Women in International Friendly

TAJONAR, Spain (Interstat) — Real Sociedad Women will host Levante Women in an international club friendly on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at the Instalaciones Deportivas de Tajonar.

The match offers a mid-season test for both Spanish top-flight sides before they resume their domestic and cup campaigns in March. It is a rematch of a recent Liga F encounter, where Real Sociedad secured a 2-1 victory at Levante on Sept. 21, 2025.

Real Sociedad enters the fixture seeking a positive result after a disappointing 2-0 away defeat to French side Soyaux in its most recent outing on Nov. 1, 2025. Its other notable result this season was a 2-2 draw at Villarreal on Aug. 23.

Statistical projections for the friendly present a conflicting outlook. Interstat’s game simulator predicts a 1-1 draw. However, the same outlet’s ELO rating system calculates Real Sociedad with a 77.4% probability of victory, highlighting the perceived strength of the home side.

The friendly falls during an extended break for both clubs. Levante’s next competitive match is not until March 8, 2026, in the Copa de la Reina against Alhama. Real Sociedad’s next scheduled game is a Liga F clash against Atlético Madrid on March 15.

Coaches are expected to use the match to evaluate squad depth and tactics. The result will provide momentum for the final stretch of the season, though it will not count toward league standings.

Kickoff is set for Sunday afternoon local time at Real Sociedad’s training complex in Tajonar.
