LEIPZIG, Germany (Interstat) — RB Leipzig U17 and Nurnberg U17 played to a 0-0 draw in a U17 Club Friendly match Sunday at Trainingszentrum RB Leipzig Platz 1.

The result defied pregame projections, as statistical models heavily favored Leipzig and predicted multiple goals. The match was defined by defensive discipline and a lack of finishing, with neither side able to break through.

The contest turned chippy, featuring seven yellow cards. Nurnberg’s Berke Çelik was sent off with a red card in the 46th minute, forcing his side to play a man down for the entire second half. Despite the disadvantage, Nurnberg secured the road point.

The draw leaves RB Leipzig U17 with an unbeaten record in this competition, while Nurnberg U17 remains winless.
