Legia Warsaw, Jagiellonia Bialystok Play to 1‑1 Draw in Polish Ekstraklasa Match

WARSAW, Poland (Interstat) — Legia Warsaw and Jagiellonia Bialystok played to a 1-1 draw Sunday in a Week 27 Polish Ekstraklasa match at Stadion Miejski Legii Warszawa.

Marc Gual gave the hosts the lead in the 30th minute, finishing an assist from Josué Pesqueira. Jagiellonia found a late equalizer in the 83rd minute when Jesús Imaz scored, assisted by Dominik Marczuk. The result defied pre-match projections that heavily favored a Legia victory.

Jagiellonia’s Adrián Diéguez received a yellow card in the 88th minute. The draw leaves Jagiellonia with 11 wins this league season, while Legia has eight. The teams also played to a scoreless draw in their previous meeting last September.
