WASSERBURG AM INN, Germany (Interstat) — Host 1880 Wasserburg opened its GER: Reg. Cup Bayern campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Wacker Burghausen on Sunday at Sportplatz Landwehrstraße.

The result defied pre-match projections, as statistical models favored the visitors. Vasco Oliveira opened the scoring in the 37th minute. Matheus Leoni and Tomás Costa Silva added second-half goals in the 58th and 66th minutes, respectively, to secure the win.
