Camerhogne vs Mt. Rich
ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada (Interstat) — Camerhogne will host Mt. Rich on Saturday in a Week 17 Premier Division matchup at Queen’s Park, with both sides seeking to solidify their positions late in the Grenada Football Association season.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. local time.
Camerhogne enters the contest unbeaten in its last two matches, most recently playing to a 1-1 draw against Paradise on May 24. That result followed a scoreless draw with Hurricanes on May 9 and a 4-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers on April 19. Overall, Camerhogne has posted two wins, two draws and two losses in its last six outings.
Mt. Rich, meanwhile, comes off a 4-2 win at Hurricanes on May 30 — its first victory in five matches. Prior to that, Mt. Rich drew 1-1 at St. John’s on May 17, fell 1-0 at home to Queens Park Rangers on May 9, drew 1-1 at home against SAB Spartans on May 3, and lost 3-1 at Paradise on April 25.
The two teams last met on April 17 at Mt. Rich, playing to a 1-1 draw. That result continued a trend of tightly contested affairs; in their previous eight meetings across all competitions, the sides have split wins and draws with no single team dominating.
According to projections from Interstat’s game simulator, Camerhogne is favored. The simulation predicts a 2-1 home victory and assigns Camerhogne a 72.60 percent probability of winning based on its ELO rating system.
Mt. Rich will look to build on its offensive breakout against Hurricanes, where it scored four goals for the first time this season. Midfielder Jermaine Williams netted a brace in that match, while forward Kevon Charles added a goal and an assist.
Camerhogne’s defense has been stingy at Queen’s Park, conceding only two goals in its last three home fixtures. Striker Ramone George leads the team with six league goals and will be a primary threat.
Saturday’s match is part of the league’s penultimate weekend, with playoff positioning and relegation implications still undecided. Camerhogne sits fifth in the 10-team table with 22 points from 16 games, while Mt. Rich is eighth with 18 points.
Both sides are expected to be at full strength, with no suspensions reported. Match officials will be announced Friday.
