THUN, Switzerland (Interstat) — Thun II opened its Swiss 1. Liga Classic season with a 2-1 comeback win over Langenthal on Sunday at Stockhorn Arena.

Langenthal’s Eddy Cabianca opened the scoring in the 15th minute. Thun II responded with a second-half brace, equalizing through Facundo Lescano in the 51st minute before Youssouph Cheikh Sylla netted the 82nd-minute winner. The result defied a pre-match projection from Interstat that had forecast a 2-2 draw, though its system heavily favored Thun II to win.

The victory gives Thun II a winning start to the league campaign, while Langenthal begins with a loss.
