MONTERÍA, Colombia (Interstat) — Andrés Juan Arroyo Romero scored in the 17th minute to lift Jaguares de Córdoba past Millonarios 1-0 on Saturday at Estadio de Fútbol Jaraguay de Montería.

Arroyo Romero, a midfielder from Montería, netted the only goal for the home side after 17 minutes. Millonarios failed to score despite a strong push before halftime. The visiting side went behind early after Pablo José Rojas Cardales received a yellow card in the 16th minute, followed by bookings for César Manuel Carrillo Mejía in the 40th and José Orlando Pérez Castillo in the 50th, Nelino José Tapia Gil in the 63rd, and two more cautions for Millonarios’ Andres Gomez in first-half stoppage time and Andrés Llinás Montejo in the 68th.

Óscar Manuel Cortés Cortés of Millonarios played the full 90 minutes but could not find the net. Both teams now hold a 1-1 record in the Copa Colombia and in all competitions. The result avenged Millonarios’ 3-1 victory over Jaguares in the previous meeting on May 16.
