PARIS (Interstat) — Vitebsk Reserve defeated Neman Grodno Reserve 3-1 on Friday in a Week 15 Belarusian Reserve League match staged at Parc des Princes. The result defied a pregame projection that favored Neman Grodno.

Forward Ousmane Dembélé led Vitebsk with two first-half goals, scoring in the 23rd and 33rd minutes. Substitute Rasmus Nicolaisen added another in the 27th minute. Neman Grodno’s lone reply came from Gonçalo Ramos in second-half stoppage time.

Vitebsk improved to 1-0 in the reserve competition, while Neman Grodno fell to 0-1. Interstat’s pregame metrics had given Vitebsk a 64.1 percent probability to win, though its simulator had predicted an opposite 3-1 scoreline. Cristian Cásseres Jr. received a yellow card in the 36th minute.
