GOPALGANJ, Bangladesh (Interstat) — Baridhara delivered a stunning 2-0 upset victory over Abahani Dhaka on Sunday in a BAN Premier League match, defying overwhelming odds. The game, played at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium, was dominated by Abahani’s Dorielton Gomes Nascimento, who scored all four of his team’s goals. However, his performance was rendered moot as Abahani conceded two own goals. Baridhara’s substitutes and defenders provided the decisive scores, securing the win for the home side. The result was a major shock, as statistical models had projected Abahani, which held a 92 percent win probability, to prevail.
